PRIVACY POLICY

FanVerse

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Future AI Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates FanVerse (the "App"), an app where fan fiction plays out as a group chat between AI-performed characters. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it.

2. The Short Version

  • We collect as little as we can: an account identifier, your stories, and how many messages you have generated.
  • Your story content is sent to DeepSeek, an AI provider in China, because that is what generates the characters' messages. This is the most important thing on this page.
  • We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Information We Collect

  • Your account. You sign in with Apple. We receive a unique identifier for you, and your name and email address unless you choose Apple's Hide My Email, which we fully support. We never see your Apple password. Before you sign in, the App creates an anonymous account so it can run at all; that account holds nothing but a random identifier.
  • Your stories. The universes, premises, characters and messages you create are stored on your device. If you publish a story, a copy is stored on our servers and is publicly visible to other FanVerse users until you unpublish it.
  • Your profile. If you set one: a username, display name, bio and photo. These are public.
  • Usage. For each message generated we record how many tokens were used and what it cost, to enforce your plan's limits. We do not store the text of your messages on our servers unless you publish the story.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts or device fingerprints, and we run no analytics SDKs.

4. Where Your Stories Go

To generate a character's message, the App sends your story — the premise, the cast, and the recent transcript — to DeepSeek, an AI provider operating in the People's Republic of China. This happens every time a message is generated.

That means your story content leaves our servers and is processed on infrastructure in China, subject to Chinese law. DeepSeek's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.

We think you should know this plainly rather than find it in a footnote. If you are not comfortable with it, do not use FanVerse. We send only what is needed to continue the story: not your name, your email, or your account identifier.

5. Payments

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details. We receive a signed receipt from Apple confirming a subscription is active, and store an identifier from it so your subscription works across your devices.

6. Who Else Sees Your Data

  • Apple — sign-in and payments.
  • Supabase — our hosting and database provider (servers in the United States).
  • DeepSeek — story content, as described above.

That is the whole list. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

7. How Long We Keep It

  • Account and profile: until you delete your account.
  • Published stories: until you unpublish them or delete your account.
  • Usage records: up to 24 months, for accounting.
  • Reports of content: up to 24 months, so we can act on repeat offenders.

8. Deleting Everything

In the App, go to Settings → Delete account. This removes your account, profile, published stories, likes and following permanently. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Apple manages that: Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. The delete-account button covers most of this immediately. For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

FanVerse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

11. Content You Generate

FanVerse generates fiction using an AI model. Output can be unexpected, inaccurate or unlike what you intended. You are responsible for what you publish. Published content that breaks our rules can be removed, and accounts can be suspended. You can report a story or block an author from inside the App; we review reports within 24 hours.

12. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the App before it takes effect.
