Boxed Up (also written BoxedUp) is a free sneaker trading card game for iPhone and Android. You open packs of digital sneaker cards, collect 9,560 real releases across seven rarity tiers, trade them with other collectors on a live marketplace and chase weekly numbered drops. It was released in August 2022 and is made by Conwov Ltd, the studio behind Tuned Up and Filmed Up.
Not to be confused with
- Boxed.com's “Boxed Up” — a membership programme for a wholesale grocery retailer. No connection.
- Box Up / boxup.com — an unrelated company. No connection.
- STEPN, Aglet and other sneaker apps — move-to-earn and location games, some built on crypto. Boxed Up is a card collecting game with no blockchain.
The name is a play on sneakers kept in their box — we are the game, not the verb. The only official site is boxedupapp.com, plus the store listings below. We do not sell physical cards, and nothing in the game can be cashed out.
WHAT MAKES BOXED UP DIFFERENT
The cards are real sneakers
Every card is a real release — Jordans, Dunks, Yeezys, New Balance and more — with its brand, colourway and year. Pokémon TCG Pocket and the Topps apps are built on a licence; Boxed Up is built on the shoes you already know.
An open marketplace with prices you can see
Pokémon TCG Pocket restricts trading, and Topps BUNT trades card for card with no price attached. Boxed Up runs an open market: list at a price, run an auction or send an offer, and see what a card has actually sold for before you buy.
Fixed-supply, numbered drops
Most card apps publish pull rates but never cap supply. Boxed Up's weekly drops mint a new card in a fixed number, each copy serial-numbered in pull order, and once they are claimed no more will ever be made.
No NFTs, no crypto, nothing to cash out
NBA Top Shot, Sorare and crypto sneaker apps such as STEPN tie their items to real money. Boxed Up keeps every card in the app and every trade in coins, so it is a game and not an investment.
Collecting first, no battles required
Marvel Snap, Hearthstone and MTG Arena are battle games where cards serve a deck. Boxed Up has optional versus mini-games, but you can collect, complete sets and trade without ever playing one.

- Sneakerheads. People who follow releases and want the grails they never got, as a collection.
- Pokémon TCG Pocket players. People who loved the daily pack opening and wanted real trading and a market to go with it.
- Card collectors who don't want to battle. The collecting loop — packs, tiers, sets and trades — without a deck or a ladder.
- Traders. Players who enjoy the market itself: pricing, flipping and finishing sets through deals.
HOW IT WORKS
Packs
You open packs of sneaker cards with coins, which you earn from daily rewards, challenges and mini-games. What you pull stays in your collection permanently.
Rarity
Every card sits on a seven-tier ladder, from Bronze up to Ultimate, with each tier's frame colour telling you where it sits. Special rarities such as Green sit outside the ladder and are capped by supply rather than by tier.
Drops
Every Sunday a set of drop boxes goes live, released an hour apart. Each drop has one chase card with a fixed supply and shown odds per open. Every copy is numbered in the order it was pulled, and once the supply is claimed the card is gone from packs for good.
The marketplace
Cards trade between players for in-game coins: fixed-price listings, auctions and direct offers, with every card's sales history visible. Duplicates become trading stock rather than clutter.

Is Boxed Up free?
Yes. Boxed Up is free to download and play on iPhone and Android. There are optional in-app purchases, but every card in the game can be earned by playing, and the marketplace runs on coins you earn in-game.
Does Boxed Up use NFTs or crypto?
No. Cards stay inside the app and trade for in-game coins only. Nothing can be cashed out for real money, and there is no blockchain involved.
Can I sell Boxed Up cards for real money?
No. Cards can be sold to other players for in-game coins on the marketplace, but they cannot be exchanged for money. Selling accounts or cards for money outside the game is against the terms.
